Recycled Fashion

This coat was created by Paola Sarmiento, a Colombian fashion designer who grew up in a family of artists. Paula was inspired by his cousin, Santiago, to perform this design.

The young man was selected for a fashion show at her school. Paula did not hesitate a second to take charge of designing the clothes that he would wear. The only condition was that it must be done using recycled materials.

This is how her design began to take shape and single sheets of a magazine became the origami patterns to build the coat; a piece of cloth and a hat with different advertising on it were ideal accessories. It is clear that behind this she was never alone because there was always the help of her family who have collaborated on the development of each of the pieces for this design.
